Easter Rugby Skills Clinic (U6 - U12 Age Groups)

NORTHAMPTON Saints RUGBY SKILLS CLINIC @ cinch Stadium at Franklin's Gardens At NORTHAMPTON Saints, we aim to nurture and encourage young talent. Kids loving RUGBY IS WHAT INSPIRES US, and through our RUGBY CAMPS PROGRAMMES WE: CHALLENGE young people to set lofty goals and build up their SKILLS TO ACHIEVE THEM. PROVIDE an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. HELP young people to develop SKILLS ON AND OFF THE PITCH. IMPROVE critical SKILLS, such as leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork. The NORTHAMPTON Saints half-day RUGBY SKILLS CLINICS ARE DESIGNED TO GIVE A SHORT AND SHARP LEARNING EXPERIENCE, providing an insight into our exclusive masterclasses!  The following unique SKILLS CLINICS ARE AVAILABLE: TAG RUGBY - Under 6's, Under 7's & Under 8's - This will be a fun focused sessions where basic catch pass and teamwork SKILLS WILL BE PUT TO THE TEST. We will introduce through games working as a group to defend a ball carrier. Alongside coaching the catch shape and how best to pass the RUGBY BALL FOR MOST consistency. This session will be fun, active and look to challenge. Tackle & Passing - Under 9's - In this SKILLS CLINIC WE WILL BE LOOKING AT THE NEW SKILL TO UNDER 9S TACKLING, we will be looking at tackle technique in a variety of ways. Taking the learning our senior players have been putting into practice this season to be the team who misses the least tackles in the Premiership. Alongside this we will be looking at a key fundamental skill of the catch pass and looking at what the seniors learn to be able to move the ball so quickly.  Tackle & Breakdown - Under 10's - In this SKILLS CLINIC WE WILL BE BREAKING THE TACKLE AND BREAKDOWN DOWN INTO SMALL PIECES, introducing some techniques and philosophies the senior players use. This is a brilliant opportunity to build knowledge and confidence in a new area of the game introduced at the under 10s age group. The breakdown is a powerful weapon to be able to maintain possession or be able to challenge the other team and get the ball back.  Kicking - Under 11's & Under 12's - In this SKILLS CLINIC WE WILL BE LOOKING AT 3 OF THE MOST USED KICKS IN OUR GAME, the punt, drop and grubber kick. We will be looking at some of the techniques Finn Smith and the other senior players use. As this is a new skill for the Under 11 age group we will be starting at a basic level before looking to differentiate the all the players to stretch and challenge those more experienced as well as being able to support those that need more assistance. The skill of kicking is really useful in the game and a brilliant way to move the ball to space quickly, score points or be able to contest possession. It is a useful skill for all to learn so come give it a try! This CLINIC WILL INTRODUCE YOUR CHILD TO A CHALLENGING BUT NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, where they will learn the same coaching principles that are adopted by the Saints Senior Squad and throughout the Saints Academy, whilst practicing our SPIRIT core values; Sportsmanship, Pride, Integrity, Respect, Innovation & Teamwork. We boast a highly reliable, friendly, and trusted team of expert RUGBY COACHES WHOSE PRIMARY GOAL IS TO ENSURE THAT YOUR CHILD LEAVES CAMP HAVING HAD AN UNFORGETTABLE AND ENJOYABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE. All staff are minimum England RUGBY LEVEL 2 QUALIFIED OR ABOVE AND ARE SUBJECT TO ENHANCED DBS CHECKS AND CLEARANCES. We have fully qualified First Aiders on site at all time, as well as identified Safeguarding leads for each camp.
