Understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia   2.Understand how a person centred approach may be used to encourage positive communication with individuals with dementia   3. Understand the factors which can affect interactions with individuals with dementia    OTHER FREE TRAINING DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:     28TH MARCH 2019 - “Understanding the diversity of individuals with dementia and the importance of inclusion”  11TH APRIL 2019 - “Dementia awareness”  25TH MAY 2019 - “The person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia”      All sessions will be held in Rounds Green Library, Martley Rd, Oldbury B69 1DZ and will start at 9.30am (with registration from 9.15am) and finish at 4.30pm.   These sessions make up the Level 2 ‘Award in Awareness of DEMENTIA’, accredited by the Open College Network London Region (OCNLR). Delegates can apply to undertake the qualification by emailing info@dementiapathfinders.org   To fulfil the requirements of the qualification, learners will be required to complete a series of assignments for assessment. A fee of £160 will be charged to cover the cost of registration with OCNLR, administration and marking.   _Places are limited, apply now to avoid disappointment.
