The Caffe Grande Slam

It's Poetry Slam time......

Starting on 25th January (last Thursday of the month thereafter) we bring you Dudley's first and only Poetry Slam night. Whether you are a seasoned poet or just starting out, we welcome you to the Cafe Grande for a night of friendly competition and huge entertainment.

You get 3 minutes to show us what you've got. A secret ballot identifies the 3 favourite poets and the winner recieves a small prize and the chance to return the following month for a 10 minute slot to support our chosen headline act.

And there's more..... Each month you will see a brilliant headline act from across the poetry scene in the West Midlands. In January it's the awesome Rob Francis, a top class published and acclaimed poet from Dudley - "a slick tonuged supernova of poetry".

And there's more..... It's free to get in! We will pass the bucket on the night to help fund the event, but it's a voluntary donation so give what you feel you can afford.
