WHAT?These advice clinics have been set up to help to respond to
qualitative research related queries from within PenCLAHRC and the
Institute for Health Research. Whether you are a postgraduate
student, an academic or a researcher who has a query about any phase
of a qualitative project from design to writing up, you can book an
appointment to speak with someone from the College of Medicine and
Health with general expertise in qualitative research who can advise
and signpost. The clinics consist of 30-minute appointments with up
to two advisors. To gain the most from the clinic, please focus on
questions about one or two specific elements of your study on which
you would like advice. These sessions are not suitable for very broad
or general questions about qualitative research, nor are they a
substitute for PhD supervision.
WHEN?
The clinics will be held approximately once every six weeks.
WHERE AND HOW LONG?
The clinics will take place in Room SC2.17 South Cloisters on St
Luke's Campus and will consist of 30-minute appointments.
UNABLE TO ATTEND?
If you are unable to attend, please let Linda Dumchen know no later
than 24 hours in advance so that someone on the waiting list can
attend in your place.
