The Hawker Typhoon Preservation Group is proud to announce an
EXCLUSIVE EVENING WITH CLEN TOMLINSON. Clen is responsible for ‘all
things engineering’ with the Napier Power Heritage Trust as well as
being on their executive committee. His career as an engineer led him
to work on a diverse range of disciplines that went from the Hawker
Hunter to under water weaponry and everything in-between! His
knowledge of Napier engines is hard to match and not just limited to
understanding them inside and out. He also builds scale working models
with a Sabre currently under construction.
The evening’s talk will take a fascinating journey through the
Sabre’s ancestry, design features, development and ultimate
performance. Comparisons will be made with engines from the UK,
America, Germany and Russia with the proposition being made that ‘
The Napier Sabre was the most Powerful Piston Engine used in WWII ‘.
This is an exclusive presentation for the HTPG with limited numbers
available so please book early to make sure of your place.
