Two cities swept up in revolution. One last chance for a man to redeem
his wasted life and change the world. Based on Charles Dickens'
masterpiece, A Tale of Two Cities is a musical that focuses on the
love triangle between young beauty Lucie Manette, French aristocrat
Charles Darnay, and drunken English cynic Sydney Carton – all caught
in the clutches of the bloody French Revolution.
Jill Santoriello’s award-winning musical version of this much-loved
classic tale transports us to the tumultuous times of the French
Revolution. The stirring music and memorable songs bring Dicken’s
characters to life, and the fast-moving plot remains true to the
spirit of the novel.
This is very much an ensemble show, expertly led by Michael Niles at
“Carton’, Kier Home as “Darnay’, and Nicola Niles as
‘Lucy’.
Hitchin Thespians are thrilled to premier in this region this
wonderful new show, which is sure to entertain and move audiences of
all ages.
