WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY WITH IAIN GREEN IS A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS
EXPLORING EUROPE’s largest urban wetland nature reserve, discovering
the creatures great and small that call it home and studying the art
of WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY.The workshops are led by Iain Green who has
worked as a professional wildlife photographer, naturalist and author
since 1997. Iain’s passion for the natural world has been inspired
by his many travels across the world, however it is the nature on our
very doorstep – often overlooked – that has provided an incredible
source of wildlife wonder. The author of ‘Wild Tigers of
BandhavgarhIain’s’ and ‘Tiger Jungle,’ it is his book ‘Wild
London’ that showcases the fascinating diversity of wildlife found
within the city – from ancient woodlands to the wildlife in 10
Downing Street!
Wildlife Photography with Iain Green will begin with an introductory
session in the site’s Victorian and locally-listed Engine House
where you can learn about the unique nature of both the wildlife and
industrial heritage of Walthamstow Wetlands. You will then head onto
the reserve to discover the many iconic birds, invertebrates and
amphibians – from Cetti’s Warbler, Common Kingfisher and Great
Crested Grebe to grass snakes, lizards and foxes. Iain will offer
practical guidance and tuition throughout the day with plenty of
opportunity for 1-2-1s for both beginners and intermediate
photographers.
