Paddle through London’s oldest canal from Limehouse to Crate
Brewery’s bar on the water’s edge in Hackney Wick. An urban
adventure in London. If you’ve never kayaked before that’s fine.
This adventure is suitable for anyone (18 yrs and over). At just over
5km, the route follows the Limehouse Cut and River Lea with
houseboats, warehouses, swans and other birdlife along the way. Due to
Coronavirus restrictions, we recommend you book your place at Crate
Brewery for your arrival or try one of the other great bars and
restaurants in Hackney Wick. These include Barge East; Howling Hops;
Simply Hooked on the Milk Float; Number 90; Grow, Beer Merchants Tap,
The Milk Float and Gotto – all of which are located at the end point
of the adventure. Then it’s home via nearby Hackney Wick overground
and rail station (2 minute walk away). Duration: 30 mins kitting out
and briefing time, around 1.5 hours paddling. WHAT’S INCLUDED? Price
is per person in double super stable kayaks and includes: Kayak
Paddles Buoyancy aids Waterproof storage barrels for any small
valuables Professional instructors Van to transport bags Staff to take
your kayak away at the end point WHAT TO WEAR Bring some warm and
waterproof clothes for this adventure and a waterproof jacket. Also
something warm to change into at the other end in case you get
splashed/damp along the way. There is a van to take your bags up to
the end point which leaves at 6.30pm sharp - please arrive 10 minutes
before if you are booked on the 6.30pm slot and wish to have bags
taken to the end point. We cannot be held responsible for your
belongings. TERMS OF BOOKING The age criteria for this event is 18+.
