Guided Tour of Freemasons' Hall

Join us for a GUIDED TOUR OF FREEMASONS’ Hall, the home of English Freemasonry and London Freemasonry, on Thursday 20th April.The building was completed in 1933 and remains the only art deco building in London preserved “as built” and still used for its original purpose. The site has a number of fascinating architectural features including two massive Masonic bronze doors, each weighing one and a quarter tonnes that lead to a cavernous chamber capable of seating 1,700. Within, the ceiling is a mosaic coving incorporating figures and symbols from Masonic ritual, while figures at each corner represent the four cardinal virtues – Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude and Justice.    The evening will start at 1830H with a guided tour of the building lasting approximately 90 minutes, followed by drinks and snacks and an opportunity to network with your fellow Society members. The evening concludes at 2100H. Members are allowed one guest.  Tickets include a donation to the library and museum whose staff donate their time to support our tour. With more than 4 calendar days’ notice we can still change the name to someone named by you on the understanding that you will reclaim the ticket price from them separately. Alternatively, we MIGHT be able to sell it to someone else; there is no guarantee of that but we will do our best and then refund you if successful.  iii) Less than 4 calendar days: We regret that we cannot offer refunds if given less than 4 calendar days’ notice.
