A CONNECTED PROCUREMENT & COMISSIONING NETWORKING EVENT:ETHICAL
APPROACHES TO COMMERCIALISATION & INCOME GENERATION IN THE LOCAL
PUBLIC SECTOR
WHAT IS THIS EVENT ABOUT?
With ongoing financial restraints in the public sector, there comes
ever increasing pressure to make savings and ultimately balance
budgets. In this event we will be exploring how local public sector
organisations can increase their revenue through various
commercialisation and income generation practices. We will
specifically focus on leading examples of ethical commercialisation
which generate income for sector in ways which are transparent,
appropriate, and desirable for the communities we serve.
There will also be ample time for delegates to reflect on, discuss,
and share their own organisation's ethical procurement practices, and
question the speakers to gain insights about the challenges, and
potential benefits, of adopting new ways of working.
These events are an opportunity for public sector officers, managers,
and strategic leaders to learn, share, and network. Each quarter, we
invite unique speakers to talk about different aspects of procurement
and commissioning.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This event is aimed primarily at those working in local public sector
organisations who are responsible for strategic procurement,
commissioning, finance, transformation and local economic growth or
development at any level of their organisation. It is particularly
relevant for those who want to learn more about what the local public
sector can do to boost revenue in innovative ways that seek to
improve, rather than cut, local service provision. If you are
passionate about helping the public sector to improve and diversify
service delivery through commercialisation, this event is for you!

ABOUT INETWORK'S CONNECTED PROCUREMENT PROGRAMME
This event is delivered to you as part of iNetwork's Connected
procurement Programme. The NW region has had a strong public sector
procurement network for many years however in line with pressures on
the sector, resources to support the network’s activities have
diminished.
Connected Procurement is an initiative to develop and grown the
community of procurement professional in the North West region, to
keep colleagues up to date on hot topics, changing legislation and
opportunities and to create space to think through the challenges
facing procurement professionals.
The YPO is helping ensure the viability of the network, working with
colleagues in iNetwork.
The network is open to anyone who’s organisations are members of
iNetwork, which includes almost all councils, NHS Police and Fire &
Rescue organisations in the North West. A full list of members is
available at www.i-network.org.uk [http://www.i-network.org.uk/].
