We’d love for you to join our next circle in Manchester city centre at Nexus art Cafe (in The Green Room). This is our first gathering, which means everyone will be a first-timer together!
Red Tent gatherings are handmade - they can look like whatever the community needs, but most importantly is what they feel like. We want our gatherings to feel like a homecoming, a place of sanctuary, a place of safety. We create spaces that feel like getting into a warm bath after a long day, or a duvet day, or that feeling when you take a bra off.
To give you an idea of what to expect, a typical gathering will consist of -
| Opportunities to share deeply
| Simple guided relaxation/meditation
| Eating food together
| Topical/conscious conversation
| Informal conversation
Other offerings might include - yoga Nidra (restful guided mediation), gentle movement, guided breathwork, guided self-inquiry journeys, music, creative projects, etc.
Whilst every circle can be different, they will nearly always consist of story medicine - that is to say sharing. Everything shared in the circle is confidential. Sharing is about being accepted and heard exactly as you are - there is no need for fixing, or advice - you are enough and all of the women in circle honour that truth.
Sharing is completely optional. Sometimes you might not have anything to say, or might just feel most at peace holding witness for the other women - that’s okay! Just know the option is there should you wish for your expression to be heard and held in the space. Sometimes just knowing that is all we need. Sometimes, just being is all we need. Red Tent is that space for you to just be.
Our gatherings are a safe and powerful container. It the interest of creating a little haven for yourself we recommend that you wear something comfortable and that you bring a little blanket and cushion. This isn’t about doing it right, but instead about making the experience your own and doing what you need to feel most at home.
All women are welcome!
