Newport: Leg Ulcer Treatment Pathway Training February

You're invited to join our two day comprehensive TRAINING COURSE TO SUPPORT THE ADOPTION OF THE LEG ULCER PATHWAY. You will be aware that the CCG are working with Lohmann-Rauscher (L&R) who have been awarded the contract to supply hosiery and compression dressings. In order to support this system change and ensure clinical competence in using the products the opportunity has been arranged for practice nurses and HCA’s to access a comprehensive two day training course. Each practice will need to have all qualified staff who treat wounds / issues of the lower limb to attend this training. Please note that future training dates will be planned for March - May 2020 until we are assured that all nurses have had the opportunity to access the training. On day 2 of the training the trainer Esther Exelby who is an ex Tissue Viability Nurse Specialist will assess competence in the practical application.
