WHAT IS ACCESSIBILITY NOTTINGHAM?
Accessibility Nottingham is a free, regular meet up in Nottingham’s
City Centre. We bring together inspirational speakers, leading
professionals and web developers: providing a synthesis of years of
experience, to introduce our visitors to the importance of inclusivity
and accessibility in digital technology.
WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY
Whether you already have a vast understanding of Accessibility, or
this is completely new to you; our event will guide you through an
introduction to the value of digital accessibility, whilst providing
you with a toolkit, helping you to gain the knowledge to make a
change.
WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU
We would like this event to be inclusive, with a wide range of
opinions, so if you have a story to tell or a problem you'd like
solving, please come along and share your views and stories with
industry experts to provide a better understanding of your everyday
challenges.
Did you know that in 2016, 4 in 10 council website homepages were
inaccessible

That's something we believe ought to change. Everyone should have
equal online opportunity, regardless of disability or circumstance.

ACCESSIBILITY AT OUR EVENTS
As an event that promotes inclusivity, we aspire to make all of our
events free and available to everyone: regardless of disability or
circumstance.
The venue has been considered for all access needs, this includes
wheelchair access, an accessible toilet, and staff members on hand to
assist wherever necessary. All presentations will be captioned.
We are working to form relationships to incorporate British Sign
Language interpretation too.
If you have any specific requirements, please get in touch and we will
do our best to adjust in order to make the event accessible to you.
