Step into the world of Gods & Mortals When the gods gather for a
wedding, chaos is never far behind. Experience the legendary myth that
sparked the Trojan War in this ambitious immersive production from
award-winning Nottingham theatre company Chronic Insanity. Set across
three atmospheric floors of the stunning Grade II listed People's
Hall, complete with ornate staircases, historic cellars, and
mysterious subterranean caves, Apple of Discord invites you to witness
divine drama unfold around you. Your Experience This is not theatre
where you sit and watch. This is theatre where you choose your own
path. Begin at the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, where gods and
mortals mingle in celebration. Watch as the goddess Eris arrives
uninvited, hurling a golden apple inscribed "To the Fairest" among the
guests. Then witness the chaos that follows as Hera, Athena, and
Aphrodite each claim the prize. Explore freely across multiple rooms
and floors. Follow the goddesses through three interwoven story loops.
Tackle quests and solve puzzles. Discover intimate one-on-one
encounters in hidden chambers. Descend into the caves to uncover
oracular truths. Or simply enjoy the cabaret, grab a drink, and watch
the drama unfold from the main hall. You decide how deeply you want to
engage. There's no single "correct" way to experience the story, every
visit is unique! Ticketing Structure 3-Hour Ticket: £30 Enter at the
beginning. You're invited to the ceremony itself, experience the full
wedding celebration and follow the complete mythological journey from
first toast to final judgment. 2-Hour Ticket: £20 Enter one hour
later. You're invited to the reception, join the festivities already
in progress and immerse yourself in the unfolding divine quarrel. Why
This Matters Immersive theatre has long been the preserve of London,
with ticket prices often exceeding £50-£100+ and requiring costly
travel and accommodation. Chronic Insanity is bringing that same
production quality and ambition to Nottingham, at a fraction of the
cost. This is world-class immersive theatre, made locally, priced
accessibly, and designed for the people of the East Midlands. The
Venue The People's Hall is one of Nottingham's hidden gems, an
18th-century townhouse in the heart of the city centre with a rich
history as a working men's club, textile training school, and meeting
place for The Antediluvian Order of the Buffalo. Its unique
architecture, atmospheric spaces, and layered floors make it the
perfect setting for mythological storytelling. Managed by Nottingham
Historic Building Trust, the venue represents the best of our city's
heritage brought to life through innovative arts programming. About
