Spring Fling Charity Tea Dance - AFOTS Larp

IC SettingIt is early spring, 1931, and Miss Ruby Fairfax - a Hollywood starlet currently gracing the UK with her presence - is hosting a charity tea dance to raise funds for making arts and culture more accessible to the 'needy'. Invitations have been sent far and wide to ensure a diverse mix of guests, from aristocrats to the servant class, to enjoy an afternoon of dancing, exhibitions, a silent auction, and of course proximity to the great Miss Fairfax herself. Dress for a Spring Fling to remember and get ready for dancing, a finger-food luncheon, and hopefully no drama or scandal whatsoever! OC Information This one-day event will run from 12-5 pm and is designed to welcome characters of all backgrounds. Whether you’re an experienced player or new to the AFOTS universe, this is your chance to dive into the story! Key highlights: Dancing: An instructor will guide you through the basics of the waltz, foxtrot, and even the quickstep. Art & Literary Exhibit: Showcase your characters' creativity by submitting an art piece for the exhibit, or admire others’ work in an in-universe gallery. (Your art pieces can be accompanied by both IC and OC artist info) Silent Auction: Have a chance to bid on some IC irresistible items for a good cause (is that a trip to New York, I spy?) , or feel free to donate your own IC prize to show just how charitable, and in no way boastful, your character truly is. Live Music: As well as dance instruction, we are aiming to get a live band! Buffet Lunch: A large selection of delicious afternoon tea and luncheon food will be provided.
