Andrew Copson, Chief Executive of the British Humanist Association, is coming to speak to Plymouth Humanists again in January. He’s going to give an overview of Humanism: what it is, what it is not and its history. Andrew will also talk about the British Humanist Association, its aims and the work that it does.
As well as being Chief Executive of the British Humanist Association, Andrew is President of the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU). His writing on humanist and secularist issues has appeared in The Guardian, The Independent, The Times and New Statesman as well as in various journals. He has represented the BHA and Humanism extensively on television news on BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky. He has also appeared on radio programmes from Today, You and Yours, Sunday, The World Tonight, The World at One, The Last Word and Beyond Belief on the BBC, to local and national commercial radio stations.
This event is free and all are welcome, although we do ask for a voluntary contribution to help cover speakers' costs.
