It is the latest assessment based on MOHO to be developed in the UK, and highlights the factors that support occupational participation when a person experiences severe impairments, and even when a person’s health is deteriorating. Although not diagnosis-specific, it is likely to be used by occupational therapist working in dementia and learning disability settings.
The assessment has undergone substantial revisions in recent years. It now consists of 30 items (15 assessing a person’s volition, habituation, communication and interaction, process and motor skills, and 15 items assessing the environment). It is expected that it will provide a much-needed alternative to the MOHOST when a more sensitive assessment is required.
Participants at this 1-day workshop will be provided with a copy of the MOHO-ExpLOR manual as well as an editable pdf of the assessment for their own use.
