Isolation ... Help to tackle a barrier to health and happiness

SBCP is working with Community Partners to understand the needs of the community and through its members is able to offer support, time and expertise to help tackle local issues. Most of us think isolation impacts older people. However, people of all ages can feel or be socially isolated, for example people who have stayed at home for long period of time and wanting to return to work, even people in the workplace can feel isolated. You can help them to improve their communication skills, confidence, work readiness and ultimately their overall health and wellbeing. _“You cannot measure the contribution that individuals make to our lives, but without them the impact can be the greatest unseen risk to our long-term health and happiness” Huffington Post June 2013_ The event is FREE to SBCP paid members and £25.00 to non-members.
