In celebration of WORLD SOCIAL WORK DAY, we welcome STUART MYERS TO
OUR ANNUAL CHILDREN'S , Adults and Health Conference. Born without
arms, Stuart provides an inspirational look at what can be achieved
against the odds. Stuart will interact with the audience, and not only
invite questions, but will challenge participants to think about their
life choices in a whole new way. Stuart’s overall 'AIM' is simple:
to raise Aspirations, provide Inspiration, and to create Motivation
amongst everyone he meets!
Stuart Myers was born on 12th February 1982. Unexpectedly, Stuart was
born with no arms and the story began right there in the hospital
delivery room in Middlesbrough. Over thirty years later, Stuart now
explores his life so far in his own unique, humorous, thought
provoking and inspirational style.
Stuart will take you on the journey he has experienced in both his
personal life, and also his professional career. Stuart will explain
how he has defied the odds and progressed from being an office trainee
to a local government manager. Stuart will also cover his additional
current roles, including a charity trustee, school governor and
judicial office holder.
Stuart is a fine example of how you can reach your goals, even when
facing adversity and uncertainty. It also becomes clear that Stuart
credits the unwavering support of his family and teachers as main
drivers to achieving his success so far.
