Tall buildings present challenges both for fire engineering and
firefighting. The South Western Branch of the Institution of Fire
Engineers is delighted to present an outstanding line up of
international experts for our one day seminar.
Tall buildings may not be as common in the South West of England as in
other parts of the world but a 22 storey building is currently under
construction in Plymouth. A significant incident here is likely to
attract a response from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and
their neighbours Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service as well as police,
ambulance and other agencies. Fire and Rescue Services all over the UK
will have their own similar buildings.
