Kylver will perform their latest album The Gobi in full at an upcoming
live show, presenting the record as a complete, immersive experience.
Newcastle's, Kylver are an instrumental progressive/doom/post-metal
band known for their expansive compositions and cinematic approach.
The Gobi, their third studio album, is a concept record inspired by
the vast, hostile landscapes and mythology of the Gobi Desert. Across
four long-form tracks, the album blends crushing low-end riffs with
hypnotic organ lines, dynamic rhythmic shifts, and wide atmospheric
passages. Performed live in its entirety, The Gobi unfolds as a
continuous narrative, drawing listeners through frozen sands, ancient
nomadic lore, and mythic imagery, including references to the Donghu
tribe and the legendary Allghoi-Khorkhoi. The band’s use of vintage
organ and layered instrumentation adds a ritualistic, immersive
quality to the performance, expanding on Kylver’s already formidable
live sound. This full-album performance offers audiences a rare chance
to experience The Gobi as it was intended — loud, enveloping, and
unbroken. This event is 16 and over. Any ticket holder unable to
present valid identification indicating that they are at least 16
years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be
eligible for a refund.
