Formed in 1990, Kingston-Upon-Hull’s own indie-rockers Kingmaker
released three full albums, and a string of Top 40 singles between
1991 and 1995. Relentless touring over this period forged the boys
into a fearless live band; an attitude which the current line-up
carries through to the present day. 2026 marks thirty-five years since
the release of Kingmaker’s rattling debut album ‘Eat Yourself
Whole’. The band will be heading out to celebrate this
anniversary, playing a selection of songs from the album alongside all
the ‘hits’ from across the glory years. Kingmaker will be
returning to Newcastle for the first time in over thirty years, making
their debut at The Cluny. Get your singing voices warmed up, it’s
gonna be loud, and a bit emotional!
