Hailing from England’s vibrant North East, Suspicions Confirmed are
back! Drawn together by a shared passion of making a melodious racket,
Suspicions Confirmed unintentionally fuse dark tones of garage punk to
lighter pop melodies. Their sound has been described as being a mix up
of elements from Bowie to Magazine to Pulp. Drawing from the
personal stuff life throws at us all, together with the joy-ride of
living in the UK, Suspicions Confirmed are comfortable to be
considered perennial awkward outsiders and urge us to ‘more than
just survive’! Quin are a melody-driven four piece from the
north-east coast of England, steeped in power pop and country-tinged
balladry. Built on ringing guitars, warm harmonies and a love of
classic songcraft, their sound nods to the golden lineage of guitar
pop. After 35 years away from the scene, Quin quietly re-emerge with
the same instinct for melody, now tempered by time and experience.
Picking up where they left off: older, wiser, and still chasing the
perfect tune Michael Oliver is a Northumberland based singer /
songwriter who blends folk and rock together with profound social,
political and philosophical themes. His Homeland album collected
together some of his more personal observations and he is often seen
delivering this material with his full electric band Operation
Vanguard.
