ABSTRACT
With the Scottish Government's commitment to incorporating the UN
Convention on the Rights of the Child, the lecture draws on the global
experiences from the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child about
realising children's rights in law, policy and practice. The lecture
will consider the challenges and opportunities of incorporation and,
taking the example of Norway, the lessons and recommendations for
implementation.
