Spend the day building a CUSTOM USB MIDI CONTROLLER. Four buttons,
four knobs, and four switches, and a world of possibilities.By the end
of the workshop you'll have a fully functional MIDI controller that
you can plug into any computer to control your favourite music
software. You'll also have the knowledge and ability to extend this
controller, adding your twist on the interface and developing it even
further. The workshop materials will include full documentation on how
it all works, along with flexible code that you can use to adjust and
remix it to your liking. Don't be constrained by commercially
available controllers anymore. Build your own and you'll never look
back.
The ticket cost includes participation and all materials (buttons,
knobs, switches, microcontroller, box, wires, etc). You don't need to
bring anything, though if you use music software on your laptop you
may want to bring that.
The controller will be very similar to the one in the pictures - I
might change some of the parts but you get the idea!
Some soldering and/or electronics experience is suggested, but not
required. I would characterize the difficulty level as "medium" - if
you're after something simpler I'll be announcing different workshops
in the coming weeks.
