In partnership with Guatemalan Coffees, we're proud to announce that the next Producer & Roaster Forum will be held in Guatemala, a leading coffee origin. Moreover, at the 2019 Producer & Roaster Forum, the world’s first coffee blockchain auction, will be launched in partnership with
Spread over 5 days, you’ll stay and sleep on a coffee farm, learn about production and processing methods direct from world-leading producers, hear international speakers present, cup coffees from around the globe. Also, international guests will be invited to attend the pre-auction cupping for the world's first blockchain auction!
Why Guatemala? With over 125,000 producers and eight distinct growing regions, Guatemala offers considerable cup variety. Within each region, there are numerous varieties and terroirs. Young, innovative producers are taking advantage of the 300+ microclimates across the country and experimenting with exotic, honey, and natural coffee processing, in addition to the washed processing Guatemala is famous for.
Previous year’s events in El Salvador and Brazil generated significant coffee sales and led to thought-provoking discussions on topics from how specialty buyers can improve their relationship with producers to hiring the right coffee employees and what specialty coffee can learn from the fine cacao industry. Monday 20th: Arrivals at International Airport La Aurora, Guatemala
Tuesday 21st & Wednesday 22nd: International guests will stay on farms, spend time with their host, learning more about their coffees, production and processing methods, exploring their farms & culture.
Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th: Entrance to Producer & Roaster Forum (including all the above-mentioned activities)
Saturday 25th: Departures

INTERNATIONAL GUESTS will be kindly hosted at coffee farms. Hosts will provide food, accommodation, transportation and world-leading coffees for the duration of the event (apart from lunch for the days of Producer & Roaster Forum on 23rd and 24th). The precise event day-to-day itinerary will be provided 1-month prior to the event.
