It was 500 years ago when LEONARDO DA VINCI, seen today as the
greatest polymath in human history, left behind his legacy. In
commemoration of the Renaissance master, Hong Kong Innovation
Foundation and OLYMPIAN CITY PARTNERED WITH WORLD-class Italian
Institute – LEONARDO3 MUSEUM – to host Asia’s first large-scale
“THINK LIKE LEONARDO DA VINCI 500TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION”. It is
undoubtedly a not-to-be-missed event this year!
Catch these never-before-seen exhibits from now until 16 February
2020. These include an 8-metre-tall mosaic of Mona Lisa, the
inventor’s manuscripts namely Codex Atlanticus and Codex on Flight,
and countless digitized notes and interactive gaming zones – all
displayed according to Italy’s national standards so you can truly
traverse into da Vinci’s wondrous world.
Starting from 3 January 2020, the “Think Like Leonardo da Vinci
500th Anniversary Exhibition” enters phase two with even more
cherished displays. These include a reconstruction of the Silver Lyre
made from a horse skull, one of da Vinci’s inventions recorded only
on sketch, and the ingenious Harpsichord-Viola. Don’t miss out on
these two exhibits’ debut in Asia. But wait, the music doesn’t
stop here: Olympian City has prepared remarkable performances by
esteemed local musicians that will take you on a melodic odyssey back
to the Renaissance, the era that gave birth to da Vinci’s stupendous
brilliance.
This cross-disciplinary maven obsessed over every detail whether in
his arts and inventions, or in his study of nature and flight. To him,
no element should be overlooked; and this is precisely what made him a
revered master even five centuries after his passing.
Leonardo da Vinci’s inventions and his principles have been keen
subjects of study for the internationally acclaimed Leonardo3, which
has brought this travelling exhibition to the United States, Turkey,
Germany, Poland, Canada and other countries. After years of in-depth
studying, analysing and interpreting da Vinci’s original
manuscripts, Leonardo3 now reveals this legend’s illustrious world
to the public through technology, science and VR. “Think Like
Leonardo da Vinci 500th Anniversary Exhibition” encourages visitors
to “think” and “be like” da Vinci and not only observe the
world through his eyes, but also understand his values and, like him,
maintain an insatiable sense of curiosity in this fast-food culture.
