Hello Neighbours,
This is an OPEN CALL FOR PERFORMING ARTS ♥
We have the space for your creative ideas.
For the season 2019/2020 we would like to invite productions from our
neighbours. Our aim is to strengthen the artistic connection and
network between Hungary and all COUNTRIES AROUND IT. Individual and
group applications are welcome, there are no restrictions at all
concerning the genre of submitted works.
Not only thematically we want to break the country borders, but in
best case also to achieve a cooperation between the surrounding
cultural centers in order to enable international touring for the
performing artists.
What Bakelit provides:
• Stage and rehearsal rooms (for 3 days between Monday and Thursday)
• Room and board (3 days/ 2 nights)
• Technical equipment and staff
• Publicity
• Photo and video documentation of your presented show
• Commission depending on ticket sales (according to agreement)
• The possibility to network with Bakelit’s international partners
all around Europe
Application process:
Please send the following documents to international@bmac.hu:
- synopsis (min. 2000 characters)
- detailed technical rider
- the number of travelling people (even though the travelling costs
can’t be covered by Bakelit MAC, but we can offer you a first
assistance to find grants if needed)
- video link (full performance if possible) + a short trailer
- photo documentation (min. 2 high resolution pictures with credits)
Deadlines:
• 10th of December 2018 - for applying for the period September –
December 2019
• 4th of March 2019 - for applying for the period March – June
2020
You will receive feedback on your application by 21st of December 2018
at the latest. The selection will be made by the “active
spectators” of Bakelit, a group of art-interested locals and the
curators of the center.
