Bodhicaryavatara by Acharya Shantideva - new course

New COURSE, Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds - SHANTIDEVA'S BODHICARYAVATARA - Teachings by Ven. Tenzin Namjong Saturday, October 20 - 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm and Sunday, October 21 - 10:00 am to 01:00 pm We will offer a new subject/COURSE IN THE BASIC PROGRAM WHICH GOES THROUGH THE WHOLE PATH TO HAPPINESS WITH PRACTICAL AND VERY HELPFUL METHODS TO DEAL WITH OUR PROBLEMS AND DESTRUCTIVE EMOTIONS AND TRANSFORM THEM INTO PEACE AND BLISS. As a basis, we will hear a commentary on the book by the great Indian Master SHANTIDEVA CALLED BODHICARYAVATARA OR "Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds." This book is highly recommended by all the great teachers including His Holiness the Dalai Lama especially as the best to develop great compassion. Ven. Tenzin Namjong will start this subject with an introduction. So all of you are welcome to attend even if you do not register for the COURSE. Born and raised in Hawaii, Venerable Tenzin Namjong took ordination from the Sera Je Abbot in year 2007. Venerable Namjong is a senior Teacher at CKSL, who is currently pursuing his Geshe degree at Sera Je Monastery in Bylakuppe (Karnataka state).
