Announcing the fifth edition of City Scripts, an annual urban writings
festival organised by the Indian Institute for Human Settlements
(IIHS). It is a three-day celebration of writings that brings the city
alive. Acclaimed Bengali author Manoranjan Byapari will be in
conversation with his translator Arunava Sinha on Sat, 22 Feb at 6:00
pm. Featured discussions are themed on belonging in Bengaluru; the
power of translation; making research accessible, flooding cities;
humour writing for children; and archiving Bengaluru. The festival
features two photo exhibits, a library exhibition and a map
exhibition.The festival will end with a yakshagana performance by
Yakshadegula. Registration is required for Koottu the children's play,
the graphic novel masterclass and the neighbourhood mapping walk. City
Scripts 2020 is free and open to all.
