Paint BOOMERANGS IN AUSTRALIAN FOLK ART - ABORIGINAL ART WHICH
RESEMBLES THE GOND PAINTING AND THE BHIL PAINTING ART FROM MADHYA
PRADESH, INDIA.Just like most of the folk art forms of India this
indigenous art represents a story, generally regarding hunting or food
gathering and usually have traditional aboriginal symbols imbedded
throughout the painting. These symbols, when explained, give a
completely whole new meaning to the painting.
Dot painting originated 40 years ago back in 1971.
The defining criterion for a dot painting is the technique used - that
it is produced by repeated imprints of a paint covered brush, dotting
stick or other implement onto the surface of the painting and that in
doing so, there are recognisable 'dot' marks on the canvas.
