Kundalika Valley Trek

KUNDALIKA VALLEY IS A FLORA AND FAUNA RICH VALLEY AMIDST DENSE JUNGLE AROUND TAMHINI GHAT REGION NEAR PUNE. Various trek routes are there for adventure enthusiasts from easy to difficult level. While treks like Devkund and Andharban are popular and overcrowded, there's another thrilling route untouched by commercialization. We'd be descending into the VALLEY, negotiating rock patches to reach the base of it and will be setting up camp surrounded by flowing water. Next day we'll continue the trek towards Bhira village bypassing Devkund region. We'd be having a swim in a natural pool of flowing water near our camp, which could be done on day 1 if we reach early to the base else on day 2 morning.Date: 17-18 Nov 2018 Difficulty: Medium Endurance: High Itinerary 17th Nov, Sat 0600 hrs: Start from PUNE Station 0800 hrs: Breakfast at Mulshi 0930 hrs: Reach trek start point 1600 hrs: Reach base and setup camp 1900 hrs: Dinner 18th Dec, Sun 0800 hrs: Freshen Up & Breakfast 0900 hrs: Start trek to Bhira village 1500 hrs: Lunch at Bhira 1630 hrs: Departure to Pune Things to Carry - At least 2L water - Glucose, electral, lime etc. - Energy bars, fruits, snacks etc - Torch/lamp (mandatory) - Light jacket and balaclava - Extra pairs of clothing for swimming, nightwear, day 2 trek/travel as per discretion - Cap, sunscreen - Personal medicine/first aid - Carry mat/sleeping bag - Plate, spoon & glass/mug - Water purification tablet(optional) Note: We'll provide sleeping bags/mats(to be carried by participant) and plan to sleep under the stars, but we can carry tents for the interested participants. Fee: Rs. 1900 /- Includes travel by a pvt. non ac vehicle, packed mini lunch, dinner, next day breakfast and lunch, sleeping bag, mat and expertise. Excludes day 1 breakfast, anything which is not mentioned Tent stay is optional for 300 per person on sharing basis(free if carried by self). Guidelines - Please come in proper trekking attire and trekking/sports shoes - Do not participate if not well or injured - Please inform us if you have any medical condition - DO NOT LITTER - Trek fee is non refundable - One has to follow the guidelines by the trek lead at all times, failing which may result in exclusion from the event. - Smoking/Drinking prohibited Note: It is an adventure activity, we do take all the precautions for safety and timings but, things may go off-schedule a bit due to weather, injuries or other emergency situations.
