Fermented foods taste amazing and add depth to your plate. Aside from tasting great they also provide us with gut-healthy bacteria which are fabulous for enhancing our health in the following ways: * improved digestion * increase absorption of nutrients * rich in vitamins K, C, A, B, B12 * high in minerals calcium, phosphorus, potassium * boost immune system * support endocrine system * improve mood & cognitive function * moderate oxidative stress & reduce inflammation Learn how to make your own ferments using ancient preserving techniques. During this 3 hour WORKSHOP WE WILL LOOK AT HOW TO SAFELY PREPARE A SELECTION OF FERMENTED FOODS AND DRINKS, such as kimchi, sauerkraut, tepache, garlic in honey, and fermented hot sauce. You will get to taste a variety of cultured foods and drinks and take your own jar of FERMENTING GOODNESS HOME WITH YOU. You are also invited to bring along your favourite knife, a chopping board, and an apron so that you can make this WORKSHOP AS HANDS-on as you like.
