The **KRAMPUS** Legend returns to Montegrotto Terme with Damnatus Nomine. From South Tyrolean and German tradition, the **Devils of St. Nicholas** return to Montegrotto Terme to scare the bad guys away. They are demons, ugly but redeemed, who tradition has it that they teach how to behave so as not to become like them. Legend has it that Bishop St. Nicholas had a trusted servant named KRAMPUS: a demon defeated by the saint and forced to serve him because of this.
Our demons**(Damnatus Nomine**) will parade down Station Avenue to Carmignoto Square with horns, torches and cowbells-a breathtaking spectacle that has ancient origins. The masks are made entirely by skilled craftsmen, and the torches used symbolize rebirth and the triumph of good over evil.
