In Cavrasto the arches of the old farmhouses are turned into little shops for local produce. The whole village turns into a large food and wine community where the Bleggio walnut plays a starring role, either on its own or in fragrant cakes, bread, a walnut liqueur, and the rare walnut salami.Throughout the festival, visitors can vote for the best-decorated broom in the “Decorate a Witch’s Broom” contest and purchase raffle tickets from the Walnut Brotherhood of Bleggio. A family-friendly area will be available, equipped with changing tables and a nursing station for babies.
