White Marble Marathon

This year the White Marble Marathon will be the first plastic free marathon to be held in Italy. Here is how the event will be managed. First of all, in the race pack there will be nothing in plastic that is not reusable.So no bars or gels will be distributed in the race pack.This does not mean that you will not be able to use gels or bars along the way but only that we will not supply them.In the race pack you will find your personal sponge that you can take with you and use it in the sponging points that you will find along the way.Upon arrival you will find containers to return the sponge to. At the refreshment points you will find water and salts which will be distributed in totally compostable glasses.In addition, biscuits and fruit will be available from the 10 km refreshment.As you can guess, this is a great change for the organization of a sporting event of this magnitude, but the future of running and sporting events.
