With the closure of cinemas around the city, watching a highly
anticipated film on the big screen is unlikely at the current state.
But that's not stopping Anticipate Pictures from bringing the best of
cinema to your favourite small screen. Movie buffs can browse through
its library to rent or purchase an oldie-but-goldie title or a recent
one . That's not all – you can join its virtual watch parties too.
Following the first online watch party with local directors Boo
Junfeng ( Apprentice ) and Kirsten Tan ( Pop Aye ) which was
culminated with a fun rendition of The Greatest Love Of All from its
participants on Zoom, Anticipate Pictures is back with two more watch
parties. On April 4, tune into a watch party starting with the hit
film Portrait Of A Lady on Fire on Vimeo On Demand . Then join in the
post-show chat via Instagram Live ( @anticipatepictures ) with Kirsten
Tan and local writer Amanda Lee Koe ( The Ministry of Moral Panic) ,
as well as special guests portrait photographer Li Wanjie and
writer-director Desiree Akhavan ( The Miseducation of Cameron Post ).
Check out the event page for all the deets. Watch this space for the
next virtual watch party with Anticipate Pictures.
