CYBERSECURITY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION

In line with resolutions of the 2018 CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE HOSTED BY THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON ICT AND CYBERCRIME IN COLLABORATION WITH THE EXPERT GROUP, the Committee has taken a step to providing tuition free CYBERSECURITY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION TO A NUMBER OF INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS. This initiative is in collaboration with Upgraded Era, a foremost indigenous CYBERSECURITY CONCERN.The certification, coming from the largest cybersecurity technical certification body, the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants, also known as the EC-Council, will only be available for 20 participants, who will form the first cohorts of the programme. The programme is intended to deliver immerse training to students and professionals, providing fundamental understanding of various computer and network security threats. The exercise, which is a two (2) day event, is free. Due to logistic challenges such as accommodation and transportation, the exercise is open to Abuja participants only, who are expected to be able to take care of themselves.
