This course takes you on a cheese-crafting journey, opening up the
world of vegan cheese made from a variety of plantbased ingredients.
You will walk away with a strong grounding in the basics of vegan
cheesemaking with the tools ie recipes, know-how and confidence to
start making your own cheeses straight away. You will also have the
opportunity to sample a range of different cheeses, meet new people
and have a relaxing, fun afternoon/ evening learning new skills and
having your questions answered. We suggest you leave room to eat :-)
There will be a 15 min break halfway through. Coffee/ tea and other
beverages are available to purchase up until 6pm and food from the
cabinet can be purchased at the beginning and end of the course (if
you are still hungry!) We will show you very economic ways to bring
cheese flavour without the dairy back into your/ your loved ones
lives, and is perfect for anyone with interest in this food whether
you are vegan / plantbased/ flexitarian or eat meat- everyone welcome.
We will cover basic nut culturing techniques but more advanced
culturing and aging techniques are covered on another course. You will
however be able to make cheeseboard worthy cheeses, pizza and mac n
cheese etc Hope to see you there!
