moves this summer! Cornwall Park is hosting two dance classes in
January, Bollywood and Sāsā. Perfect for beginners and all ages.
Stop DANCING ALONE IN YOUR ROOM (even though we know how fun that
is!), and come join us out in the park to learn and dance together!
Saturday, 11th January 11am - 12pm Bollywood Facilated by Bollywood
Party - Anju's cultural studio Bollywood dance is a fun, interactive,
storytelling dance style from India. Learn the colourful culture
through DANCING WITH BOLLYWOOD PARTY IN NEW ZEALAND. Your experienced
dance teacher Anju Desai has performed in over 400 shows and taught
unlimited students with the Bollywood dance style. DANCING IS KNOWN TO
BE THE BEST EXERCISE FOR YOUR BRAIN SO LET SHAKE IT! Saturday 25th
January 11am - 12pm Sasa Facilitated by MANU MANU was created to
provide opportunities for tertiary dance students graduates in
Aotearoa, NZ to collaborate, network and tour alongside each other.
The processes, choreography and functioning of the group are
underpinned by Pacific and Maori cultural values and morals. Sāsā is
a seated dance from Sāmoa that was used to show and depict feau or
chores as well as the village livelihood in Sāmoa. It involves a lot
of body percussion as well as actions associated with ceremonies and
