that TRACK 1 FOR NEW TEACHING ASSISTANTS IS THE BEST FIT FOR YOU.
This TRACK IS APPROPRIATE FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS THAT ARE NEW TO
TEACHING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, new to TEACHING IN GENERAL,
and/or whose TA roles will primarily be as a discussion/laboratory
section leader or grader. If you have any questions about which
track you should register for, contact

This pathway during orientation will provide you with:
* Practical training and tips for effective teaching as a Teaching
Assistant
* Support in developing a teaching identity and philosophy
* Knowledge of campus resources for teaching, learning, and
professional development
Attend plenary sessions, question and answer sessions with
experienced graduate student teachers, and a series of interactive
workshops on a wide variety of teaching topics. This event is hosted
by The Graduate School and the Teaching & Learning Transformation
Center.
