WHAT IS KUNDALINI YOGA?
Just like any yoga class, we can expect some physical exercise and
movement, but what sets Kundalini Yoga apart from other types of yoga
is its focus on using our breath as well as the length of time that
each pose is held to harness energy within us. The poses, breath and
sound are strung together in a sequence called a Kriya. Through
movement, breath, meditation and sound vibration, Kundalini Yoga
enhances our practice by promoting more self-awareness and stillness.
WHAT DOES KUNDALINI YOGA DO?
The practice of Kundalini Yoga balances the glandular system,
strengthens the nervous system and enables us to harness the energy of
the mind and the emotions, so we can be in control of ourselves,
rather than being controlled by our thoughts and feelings. With
regular practice, it heightens our intuition and creativity.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF KUNDALINI YOGA?
There are thousand of Kriyas in Kundalini Yoga and each pose within a
Kriya is specifically designed to strengthen different systems in the
body such as the endocrine or nervous system. In a 2017 study, which
followed a group of people taking Kundalini Yoga classes for 3 months,
found that practicing this form of yoga can help decrease cortisol
levels, perceived stress, prevent cognitive decline and ease
depression symptoms.
The positive effects of Kundalini Yoga on mental health, in
particular, can make a big difference in the way we approach life!

WHAT IS A KUNDALINI YOGA CLASS LIKE?
Each Kundalini Yoga class includes 1 hour of exercises and 30 mins of
meditation techniques to help us achieve sense of balance, clarity and
peace after every session. It works very efficiently as one can feel
changes in the body and psyche within a few minutes and deeper changes
through regular practice.
It is universal and non-denominational. No prior experience with Yoga
is required! Therefore it is for anyone and everyone!
