We will be following Thompson creek up the valley, in the shadow of Cline mountain, to a lookout point to view the falls.
This is a easy Intermediate guided hike! 10.1 km round trip with 513m of elevation gain. Thompson creek trail is Just off Highway 11 west of Nordegg- Just before the Banff park boundary. This hike has no formal parking lot, you can park at the Thompson creek campground or just off Highway 11. We follow the creek , crossing log bridges and hopping over some rocks, staying in the shadow of the breathtaking Cline mountain. It is fairly flat until the last 1.7km to the falls. Most of your elevation is gained in that last climb. The trail puts you up over the waterfall for a beautiful view below.
Your guide will be there the whole way to offer a helping hand. It is suitable for the adventurous beginner who loves water! It is rated intermediate so you must be ready for that 513m of elevation gain.
Please note that you must have sturdy footwear . We are on a rocky uneven surface some of the way. and we recommend dressing in layers to adapt to constant weather changes. Refund policy: We don’t do refunds - within 2 weeks or exchanges for tickets within a week of your hike. I have emergency and medical info on each hiker that is logged with a check in person . If there was any type of emergency all that info needs to be correct for each hike.
All 2021 Events-You will be with a certified guide that has permits for the trails.
