Tasmania's Coldest Winter Solstice Swim

The Great Lake Hotel on the shores of The Great Lake is situated in the coldest part of Australia. What better way to celebrate the Winter Solstice than with a cheeky dip in the lake. This bonkers challenge will offer the following benefits:

1) It is in support of SPEAK UP Stay ChatTY Shorts Day, and $20 from each ticket will be donated to this most excellent Tasmanian organisation with National impact.

2) You can step completely outside of your comfort zone and embrace the wonderment and terror of true cold in a safe and supportive manner. We will mentally prepare together, deep breathe together, enter the water together, roar with delight together, hold it for maximum impact together, feel the rush of blood back to our extremities and warm up together.

3) We will capture and gain some great photographs that you will be proud to share.

4) Swimmers are required, but the full monty will not be denied if you so choose.

5) Travel together from Hobart - maximum 11 seats, or meet us at the Great Lake Hotel at 12 noon ($85 and $20 respectively)

6) Share a meal (own expense) and maybe even wee dram together in The Great Lake Hotel.

7) You will have a wonderful, uplifting and joyful experience.

Of course, despite intending to swim, like standing on the edge of an 80 m bungy you may decide to pull out at the last minute, and that is okay. It will be completely voluntary with no pressure and complete responsibility for self and ones own health.

Bus departs from North Hobart at 9.30 am (Room for a Pony) and returns approx 4.30 pm.
