Hop and skip across colored tires in TIRE  FUN! Dodge huge balls that swing across your path in DODGE  FUN! Slide down a slippery wet slope in SLIDE  FUN! Make your way through our WEB  OF  FUN. Find the fastest way out of our MAZE  OF  FUN! Bounce your way up to conquer MT.  FUN! Carefully cross over mud pools in BRIDGES  OF  FUN! Enter our foam-azing tunnel in FOAM  FUN! And finally, wage a FUN ATTACK with our creepy zombies, splashing swimsuit models and gigantic mascots and DASH to the finish line with the entire family!Plus, it gets more FUN for others! Every ticket purchase gives a pair of new school shoes to a student from Lambunao, Iloilo! FUN FAQS for EVERYONE!

What is the event all about? The Grand Family Weekend is an annual summer event organized by Lancaster New City. Now on its 3rd year, we bring you the country's first FUN obstacle course, FUN & RUN, where you don't just get to RUN but also have FUN with exciting obstacles along the way!

When and where will the race be held? The Fun & Run Obstacle Course will be up for a limited time for everyone to enjoy on May 27, 2018 between 5:00AM to 12:00NN at Lancaster New City in Cavite.

Where else can I buy tickets other than online?  You can purchase tickets at the Square, the Clubhouse and the Parish of the Holy Family in Lancaster New City every weekends of May up until the event. During weekdays, beginning May 14, our registration booth will be set-up in St. Edward's Integrated School. Registration will end on May 20, 2018 so hurry and get those tickets already!

Can I buy tickets at the event itself?  You can buy tickets at the event in one of our ticketing booths. Just approach any of our Fun & Run staff and they will be glad to assist you.

Can I pay cash if I don't have a credit card or PayPal account?  Yes you may. Just drop by our ticket booth at the Square every weekends of May or buy during the event itself! We recommend that you get your tickets early though as we only have limited slots to the obstacle course!

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?  Children below 3 years old will not be allowed to enter the obstacles, but they may still get their own tickets to the event. They can run with the rest of the family provided that they will be assisted. Senior citizens may skip the obstacles and pass through our Safe Lane so that they can still join in the RUN!

Is there a place where I can leave my things during the race?  Yes. There will be a baggage counter at the Main Event Grounds as well as Changing Rooms for men and women, in case you may want to have a change of clothes. 

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?   There are several parking options behind Square 1 and 2 buildings. The Lancaster New City Transport Hub will be open as early as 4:00AM to receive guests to the event.

Will I have to pay for parking?  Parking is FREE. Please look for the traffic signs that will lead you to the right parking spaces available that day.

Where is the exact location of the event in Lancaster New City?   The Main Event Grounds will be set-up at the back of Square 2 while the Assembly Area and Starting Point of the obstacle course will be along Advincula Road between Square 2 and McDonald's. The obstacle course will traverse the road all the way to the SS1 and then back to Square 2 where the finish line awaits.

So does this mean a road will be closed during the event?   Yes. There will be directional signages to guide you across the traffic rerouting inside Lancaster New City. The roads affected will be closed 3 days before the event, May 24, 2018.

Can I give my race kit to my friend because I cannot join the race? Yes, entries are transferable.

How long will a run take? We estimate that it will take you at least 30 minutes to run and conquer all the obstacles in our course. 

Is this a race or a fun run?  FUN & RUN will be more of a FUN RUN, of course, thus, time will not be recorded. Instead, everyone who crosses the finish line will be getting a medal of achievement. So you can have real FUN as you RUN! Don't forget those selfie sticks and action cameras!

What will happen at the race? What time will it start?

The first gunstart is at 6:30 AM. Each gunstart allows 200 pax to enter the obstacle course. We have to make sure about everyone’s safety. Succeeding gunstarts will occur every 15 minutes until 9:30 AM which is the final gunstart.

The first 100 to pass through each obstacle will be given a yarn band. To qualify for the cash prize, the participant must complete all colored yarn bands (to signify that they have passed through all obstacles).

The first to cross the finish line will win P10,000 while the runner-up will win P5,000. 3rd finisher will win P2,000. The next 7 to cross the finish line will win premium items from Lancaster New City.

In case of any emergency, will there be marshals to assist and attend to us?  Yes, we will station Red Cross First Aid tables and ambulance units along the course. It is advised that once you feel uncomfortable at any point in the race, proceed right away if you can to any nearest hydration station for assistance.

Can I change my shirt size?  No, size charts are provided for the online and onsite registrants. Sample shirt sizes are also made available on every registration site. You will receive what you have ordered.

Can I stop at any point during the obstacle race?  Yes. Should you feel that you are not able to continue due to whatever reason, you may stop and walk and inform any of our officials. It is best to not push yourself too hard as your health and safety is much more important than finishing the race.

In case it rains, will the event be cancelled? The event organizers will be monitoring the weather condition days prior to the event. Rest assured that announcements on cancellation or rescheduling will be made through Lancaster New City official Facebook page. On the event day itself, if it is just normal rain showers without any typhoon or thunderstorm warnings, the event will push through. However, if the weather poses safety risk to our participants, the event will be cancelled.

Can I get a refund?  Sorry, but you cannot refund a ticket that has already been purchased for whatever reason.

When can I collect my race kit?  Distribution of race kits will be on the following schedules. Onsite registrants should claim their race kits where they registered, while online registrants may claim theirs at the Pro-Friends main office in Mandaluyong City (Metro Manila site) or Lancaster New City sales office in Cavite (Provincial site). Please make sure that you indicate your shirt size when you register. 

Pro-Friends Main Office |  May 18 | 8AM to 6PM

Lancaster New City: The Square and Sales office | May 19 & 20 | 12NN – 4PM

Lancaster New City: Parish of the Holy Family | May 19 & 20 | 11AM to 12NN and 630PM to 730PM

What kind of run course should I expect?  The obstacle course will be mostly on a flat cemented pavement with obstacles made of foam and sturdy materials. However, there are also water and mud obstacles, so make sure to bring extra clothes.

Should I bring my own water bottle?  You may bring your own water bottle or whatever nutritional requirement you need. In case you do not have it, there are hydrations stations along the course.

What do we need to bring?  You must bring everything that is in your race kit that includes your race shirt. You can bring knee and elbow pads, but make sure to bring extra clothes. Be in proper running attire for a safe, injury-free and enjoyable obstacle race. There will be no any nutritional aids such as power gels, bananas and other electrolyte drinks along the race course.

Where can I change?  There are restrooms, portalets and changing rooms situated within the Main Event Grounds. 

Can I bring my child on a stroller or my pets?  No due to the extent of this year's run even if it is non-competitive in nature.

What time should I be there?  Gates open at 5:00 AM. The first gunstart will be at 6:30 AM which is the competitive run. After 15 minutes, the next batch/wave of participants will be allowed to enter the obstacle course. Last entry to the course will be at 9:45 AM.

Will there be shuttles? Organizers will not provide service shuttles for participants.

Are there any nearby stores where we can buy food and drinks?   Lancaster New City has its own commercial center called, The Sqaure, which has a number of food outlets and restaurants.
