Recent developments in digital and smartphone technologies make film
making accessible to anyone who owns a mobile device. Online platforms
like YouTube and Vimeo also provide avenues for new content to be
distributed at minimal costs. This makes it possible for any kind of
filmed material to reach a wide audience.
This workshop series provides participants with training in the basics
of filmmaking that is grounded on the humanities.
The workshops begin with the fundamentals of storytelling facilitated
by 2 multi-awarded Palanca Award recipients. It continues with
cinematography and editing workshops that capitalize on the use of
smartphones or digital cameras. These two workshops are facilitated by
Overmind.
