Each year Nagaoka Fireworks Festival opens with a display of white chrysanthemum fireworks in memory of the more than 1,000 people who lost their lives in the aerial bombardment. The two-hour display continues with fireworks shaped like floral bouquets, volcanoes, and Niagara Falls, which sees a flaming aerial version of the famous waterfall rain down above the heads of enthralled spectators young and old.This event gives visitors an experience that is unique and very much worth a visit.
