How to DWH - Pixel vs. Slido

MICHAL VINCE, PIXEL FEDERATIONDWH IN PIXELFEDERATION _The use for data in Pixelfederation changes dramatically over time, from reporting, through analytics to predictions and M/L use cases._ _To support such broad use cases, DWH Pixelfederation needs to be robust, scalable and "one step ahead" of its users._ In this presentation we would like to share - history of tooling in our DWH - what does PIXEL DWH STACK LOOKS LIKE AND WHY - some lessons that we learned along the way ANDREJ BARAN, SLIDO BUILDING A DATA WAREHOUSE: FROM GREENFIELD TO PRODUCTION IN UNDER 10 MONTHS _In order to better cater for its growing ranks of customers, Slido needed to go through various transformations in the past year. One of them was building a Data Warehouse, whose non-existence was found to be a limiting factor to both better decisions and data-enabled features._ In this presentation we'll go through our experiences of: - starting at a greenfield and arriving at production-ready solution in about 10 months - what it takes to build the three parts of a Data Warehouse (Data, People, Technology) with AWS and industry -standard open-source solutions - some lessons we've learned along the way, and - an outlook towards the future.
