The Qixi Festival, also known as the Qiqiao Festival, is a Chinese traditional festival celebrating the annual meeting of the cowherd and the weaver girl in mythology. It is Chinese Valentine's Day, which is one of the most celebrated Taiwan festivals among couples. It's based on a romantic legend and it falls on the 7th day of the Chinese lunar month. Other interesting traditions included welcoming fairies down to earth, bathing in the river the Zhinu once bathed, storing Qixi water, washing hair and others.
