CONFLICT RESOLUTION: UNDERSTANDING THE SOURCES OF CONFLICT AND USING
THEM TO YOUR ADVANTAGEMost supervisors deal with conflicts in one form
or another, but few supervisors have mastered effective resolution
techniques. This four-hour class will showcase different personalities
that tend to cause conflict and how best to manage the individual and
related scenarios. You’ll also learn about the different types of
conflict found in the workplace and the tools for resolution. Lastly,
few people enjoy dealing with conflict, but you’ll walk away with
the know-how for making all types of conflict productive.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
• Recognize difficult personalities as a source of conflict and ways
to manage them;
• Identify the types of conflict;
• Recognize five different ways to resolve conflict and when to use
each; and
• Understand how to make workplace conflict productive.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: MARSHALL WATSON
Marshall Watson is the Professional Development Manager for The Strive
Group. As a twenty-three year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a
former adjunct instructor with UAA’s Mat-Su College, Marshall adds
training and development, instructional technology and coaching
